NIPoPoWs Are Expanding #Ergo Nodes

Lead core developer, @chepurnoy (Kushti), has been discussing Ergo’s ability to create #NIPoPoWs (Non-Interactive Proof of Proof of Work) for a long time now, and with the release of reference client 5.0.13, users can deploy stateless #blockchain infrastructure.

Using only a mobile device or a small board computer, NIPoPoWs allow stateless clients to run with full node security, where there is no need to store the entire UTXO set.

Since the release of 5.0.13, community members that have utilized this technology have reported the ability to fully sync and run a node on a mobile device in under 20 minutes. 

Community members using single board computers have reported the ability to sync to the blockchain in approximately five minutes and with only 100MB storage impact.
